Couch Level View
So much for the view from 30,000 feet. From where I am sitting it looks like Social Media and Internet TV should be turning the broadcast and cable world on its ear.
Take control of your life by viewing what you want when you want. Find your favorite shows online and enjoy having unlimited online channels and viewing opportunities. Your Cable Provider licenses and sells its programs and content. This makes the selection limited because of this bias. You can move your Internet Connection to the TV and take advantage of a larger, less expensive free market. If you cut the cord from your cable provider you will be in charge of when and where you would like to watch your favorite programs.
Do some online research, that’s what I did:
Roku.com get internet on your TV.
Chromecast Play your tablets and smartphones on your TV.
Subscribe or order TV SHOWS and MOVIES from NETFLIX, AMAZON, ITUNES and HULU.
Find FREE SHOWS! Go to the shows website or Network/Producers Website. YouTube has a free TV Show section.
Here are a couple of articles that I like:

On Location — Chapel Hill NC
Being in the right place at the right time can get you some great subject material. I used to hitch-hike back and forth between Chapel Hill NC and Kill Devil Hills NC during my college years. One time a guy in an old rusty cadillac picked me up. His license plate said “Jack and the” Turned out to be none other than the musician
featured in this video; “Michael Kelsh”. We struck up a conversation about who we were and what we did. When it came time for a senior project for school I rang him up and we scheduled the shoot. Fellow students LeeAnn Woodard and Jim Kinney contributed to the production. Michael was playing for Southern Culture on the Skids at the time and he invited some of them to appear in the video. It was fun setting up different scenes all over the area. When we revealed it in class it became an instant hit.
